Holy poop on a stick, I remember that game. That's the only version of Donkey Kong I ever had, actually (the original game-- not counting the DKCs and the like).
And yeah, you pretty much get that in any other medium: a four-second loop that's complete as a piece on its own, and that can move you so significantly. I think people forget how awesome that is.
